- Irregular periods
This might be a shock to women born in the 80s, but a low fat-diet is absolutely terrible for female fertility, bcs our hormones are literally made from cholesterol so we need sufficient amounts of healthy fats. I am talking butter, ghee, bone marrow, raw milk, olive oil, nut butters... you name it. Integrating these fats into my diet was a gamechanger for my hormonal health and it actually made me slimmer, contrary to popular beliefs. Of course, introducing healthy foods and avoiding inflammatory items such as seed oils, sugar, wheat flour and ultra-processed ingredients is only one side of the coin. Excercising is another aspect, but we all know that, so I wamt to talk about something else: Everytime you eat something, your pancreas secerets insulin, so people that constantly snack on something have raised levels of insulin, ehich can lead to an insulin resistance and further down the line diabetes type 2. Furthermore, when you have an overload of Insulin in your body, it can dock anywhere in your body and cause inflammation, including on your hormone receptors in the uterus. When Insulin docks on these receptors in your uterus, testosteron can't be converted to estrogen, and so the follicles cannot release (bcs of the lack of estrogen) and then you are not ovulating or rather you are not producing progesteron. Progesteron is basically our beauty hormone that makes women tranquil, happy, and radiant. Btw, you won't know whether or not you properly ovulated simply by getting a period. You can bleed despite not producing progesteron. However, there are natural ways to investigate this: tracking your basal temperature and writing it down daily, can show you whether you produced progesteron bcs this horomone needs a certain temperature. But for more accuracy you should check your cervical fluid and cervix position, which is a bit trickier. Anyways, to prevent this hormonal imbalance, you have to minimise your insulin spikes, so keeping a 2-4h window between meals. Now, it's not only insulin that can dock to your hormone receptors and run havoc in your body. Xenoestrogens can do so too. They enter your body through synthetic fragrances, plastic, pesticides, tap water, pharmaceuticals and so on. So you want to eliminate those as much as you can; from your clothes, tupperware, cosmetic products, parfume, detergent, cleaning products etc. And please, please, please use only 100% cotton pads. No tampons, no menstrual cups!! Everything that touches you there, directly enters your bloodstream and lymphatic system. Here are some other things you can do, if you have irregular periods: never sit on a cold floor and try to always wear wool socks in the house. Bcs there are merdians that run from your feet directly to your womb. Hence in TCM they say that cold feet equate to a cold womb, which causes the blood to become stagnant and thus clot. to treat a cold womb, you can do this: make a paste of fenugreekpowder and water. Apply it to the center of your feet and bind a cotton scrap around your foot, cotton socks over it and then sleep with it. This will warm your uterus and help to break up old clots. You basically want to improve your circulation and overall bloodflow to that area. castor oil pack and red light therapy on your womb acupuncture from a TCM practitioner hijamah specifically for treating infertility stretching and fertility "yoga" v-steaming Drinking these teas can also help to improve period issues in general: - rasperry leaf - hibiscus - rose - dandelion - nettle - ginger - jujubee Then there are these three teas, - monch's pepper - lady's mantles - yarrow which should be used in a targeted manner for very specific issues, so I will leave it at that. If you have irregular periods and issues like PCOS, PMS or other fertility issues, then lifestyle changes and herbal support are the things to focus on, not getting a steriod pill prescribed that disables your body from producing progesterone and thus robs you of your special tranquility hormone.
- Preparing teas as medicine
Herbs are wonderful, they are Shifaa. Drinking tea correctly, can eliviate pain and balance out so many issues. For example, in many cultures rose tea is traditionally used to make a woman more feminine, so basically to regulate her hormones. I drink mine together with hibiscus and lemon peel or with nettle, dandelion and rasberry leaf. In Morocco rose tea is also traditionally drank as a laxative though, so if you want to balance this property out, you just have to add rasbeerry leaf tea, bcs in Central Europe rasberry leaves are used against diarrhea. So together they balance these properties from each other out. I know the general rule is, one rosebud per cup, so for one kettle I use a max of 5 small rose buds that I crush into flakes. If steeped correctly, such teas are full of minerals and help to replenish the body. The most important thing is that you allow the tea leaves to flow freely and let it steep for at least 15 min, ideally 45min. The amazing thing about drinking teas is that overtime, your skin will develop a slight scent of the herbs you drink, and your mood and menstrual cycle slowly improve. Apart from being a natural "parfume", teas also act as an amzing mineral supplement, bcs they contain various minerals that support your body in its natural function. Natural mineral suppport tea: - rasberry leaves - nettle leaves - rose flakes or rose buds - hibiscus flower - dandelion leaves You basically aim for about 2 tbsp per kettle in total. Pour boiling water on top and close the lid. Let it steep for at least 20min or longer if you can. Cater to your needs: - rasberry leaf tea if you want more firm poop. Reduces heavy periods and cramps, Aids in digestion and helps to combat fatigue. - rose tea if you aim for softer/thinner poop. Balances the hormones, enhances skin health and helps with digestion and period cramps. - nettle if you are mineral depleted and need sth astringend (like your body is swollen with lymph) and you need kidney support. - hibiscus if you pee alot during the night and need anti-inflammatory support that stabalises your bloodsugar levels and thus appetite. - dandelion leaves if you need anti-oxidative support for your liver and want to increase bowl movement to flush out your kidneys. Reduces bloating and excess water retention. - in the picture is also Chanca piedra aka the stonebreaker. It helps to flush out kidney and gallbladder stones, but also helps with bladder and digestive issues. For such teas with thicker stems or seeds, you bring the kettle to a short boil and then let it steep. I personally put 1tbsp Chanca piedra with cold water in a kettle and put it on the stove. As soon as it starts to boil, I remove the kettle and add a handful of fresh mint leaves. As a rule of thumb, you should not boil fine leafy teas but only seeds or plants with thicker stems. For such teas with thicker stems, you bring the kettle to a short boil and then let it steep. Bcs the more you boil a tea, the higher becomes the concentration of tannins and those can give you heart burn or gastrinal issues if you have a sensitive stomach. That's why I prepare my Atay (moroccan mint tea) in a unconventional way. Furthermore, tannins can bind with the iron of your food and thus stunt your iron absorbtion. So, if you have a tendency towards anema, then I would not drink any tannin/polyphenol rich teas specifically after your meals. TCM tea for blood support: Boil a teapot with: - 3 Jujube dates cut open (fruit of the Sidr tree) - 1 tsp Goji berries - half a Ceylon stick - 2-3 cloves - 3 pepper corns - 2-3 organic lemon slices - a thumb of fresh ginger and turmeric ( π« not in the evening) - you can also add apple or pear slices, or you can add star anise, I only take one tiny star edge and not more. Herbs are so versatiles and teas have always been used to ease various issues. People who regularly drink tea truly notice the difference it makes β‘
- 5 ways to detox your body and get rid of inflammation
The first thing is ofc avoiding inflammatory foods, so replacing sugars with honey or dates, seed oils with tallow/olive oil/coconut oil/sesame seed oil etc, then replacing modified starch with arrow root powder, and wheat with almond flour or with spelt/rye/khorasan/buckwheat or at least freshly milled whole wheat flour. Now here are a few treatments for innflammation that I find work really well. Of course we don't do them all at once, but you choose one that suits your needs and of course all of us should always do our own research πΏ 1.The first anti-inflammatory treatment is with turmeric. In a jar I mix turmeric powder with a little bit of cayenne and black pepper. In the picture I also added cinnamon for blood sugar regulation, but I no longer add it it now bcs I drink cinnamon in my tea. In the morning on an empty stomach, I take 1/2 tsp of this mixture and mix it with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Swallow that with warm water and then I only drink tea until breakfast. The curcumin in the turmeric becomes more bioavailable with the piperin in the black pepper. Cayenne makes the blood thinner and improves blood circulation and cell repair. (That's why you must never take cayenne together with blood thinners) This powder is a real game changer for me and I am already on my fourth bottle of it. But like with all herbal remedies, you take it in cycles, so you take it for example for 2 weeks and then you stop for 2 weeks and take it again. It's definitely not something you take all the time, but rather as a treatment. 2.The next detox is an olive oil shot. That's probably the most famous one, but it really works. Fresh lemon juice mixed with real olive oil, taken on an empty stomach. You do want to take it slow, so start with only 1/2 tsp olive oil with 2 tbsp lemon juice and see how it feels like. Then, you can gradually increase your dosis over the course of 2 weeks and take a dosis that feels right for you. 3.The next one is my favourite: Detox baths! I use this mixture: β’ 4 parts epsom salt β’ 2 parts baking soda β’ 1 part himalayan salt You can also add borax or clays. To the salt mixture, I add essential oils that relax the muscles and open the airways: β’ 8 drops lavender β’ 5 drops eucaleuptus β’ 4 drops rosemary β’ 3 drops winter green --> pls use less essential oil initially and observe how your body reacts to it. You need to stay in the water for at least 25min, keep the heart above the waterline and don't make it too hot. I usually stay in the water for 1h. The results are insane. I have been obsessed with detox baths for over a decade and you can actually see and feel an immediate effect. Additionally, since I have been doing these baths for years, I also do this: 20min beforehand I drink a cup of water with 1/2 tsp activated charcoal and then I do either dry brushing or a lymphatic massage before the bath. This gives me insane results. If you don't have a bathtub, don't worry, bcs foot soaks are actually extremely effective and most people severely underestimate them. In TCM ginger, hot pepper and black pepper are used to warm the organs and detox the body. You can also use the same salt mixture mentioned above. Or you can do a vinegar soak, something that I personally never tried (and never will! π). 4.Next up is the good old castor oil pack, bcs this oil penetrates deeply into the tissue and can disolve inflammation such as cysts, tumours and knots. I have heard some people make a cayenne pepper, or chili, or ginger powder cold infusion in castor oil and then use it for treating athritis and other inflammation in the joints and muscle tissue, but I have never used that before. I personally do normal castor oil packs on my belly for fertility, digestion, liver support and a flatter belly. It also treats any skin blemishes and makes your skin look brighter. Oiling the belly button with castor oil is also highly beneficial. 5.Oregano detox protocol Pure Oregano essential oil (make sure it is 100% pure and organic, safe for consumption) Before you eat, on an empty stomach 2-4 drops diluted in 10ml raw pumpkin seed oil (again, you want to slowly work yourself up to that dosis). This is a natural antibiotic that can help eliminate bacteria and parasites. Therefore, it is crucial that you pair it with a binder either bentonite, psyllium husk, chlorella, or really strong binders like activated charcoal and zeolith. But for the latter two you have to observe your diet closely bcs you don't want to get nutrient deficient, since they are strong binders. I take the binder 20min after a meal. This protocol can be done for 2-8 weeks (there are different opinions). It has helped me for bacterial infections, teeth removal and stomach pain/nausea before. You'll feel great afterwards inshaaAllah. Just make sure to drink alot, move and sweat alot. Redlight therapy or sauna is especially helpful during a detox. Vitamin C as a gelation agent and lymphatic support through massage, tapping, jumping, exercise or TCM Gua sha, and consume lots of warm amd easy to digests foods like stews and soups/broths.
- How I treat ear infections naturally
I tend to get ear infections every now and then, so I have a little regimen that helps relieve the pain and treat the infection, in my experience those homeremedies are far more effective and relieve the pain faster than any antibiotical ear drops or pharmaceuticals that I have used so far. Sit in front of a redlightlamp as often as possible. Steam your ear with salt water, it is so effective. I premake a jar of 1 cup himalayan salt with 1 drop oregano essential oil. So when I need it, I just simply add 1 tbsp of that salt mixture in a tea cup and pour hot water on top. Then just steam your painful ear with it. Another amazing remedy is to steam your ear with an onion. Just cut the onion in half and steam it over boiling water. Then place the onion in a tea cup and steam your ear with it. A quicker method is to grate half an onion and pour hot water on top and then steam your ear with it. If you cannot do the steam then apply a natural devil's claw oinment around your ear and down the neck. Put a scarf on and go to sleep. Also, applying iodine around the ear and neck helps to treat the infection. Gentle lymphatic drainage massage is also extremely useful in speeding up the healing process. Then of course I take oregano essential oil as a natural antibiotic. So 2- 4 drops diluted with 10ml pumpkin seed oil, swallowed with water 30min before a meal. And a binder (activated charcoal, or bentonite clay etc) before going to sleep. And I continue taking it even after the infections is gone, as a precautionary measure.
- How I treated my eye infection naturally
Yes, eye infections can be highly contagious and I am not saying "don't go to the doctors", no. I am just simply sharing holistic remedies that I have used on myself before. 1. I used an eye rinse saline solution that comes with an eyewash glass cup. It is made with an euphrasia plant, commonly known as eyebright. Varieties of this family are traditionally utilised to treat inflammed and sensitive eyes, but also to moisterize dry eyes. There is also aloe vera in it, which is known for it's healing properties and can even repair DNA cells. 2. I applied a medical iodine solution around the eye, so only on the skin, NOT in the eye directly. 3. After the iodine solution, I applied castor oil on top (I have a bottle that I previously mixed with a low solution of blackseed oil nigella sativa). And that is how I went to sleep. Castor oil is a potent penetrator and breaks up inflammation. You'll wake up with alot of white gunk coming out of your eye. 4. As with any infection, I took my oregano "antibiotics". So 2- 4 drops diluted with 10ml pumpkin seed oil, swallowed with water 30min before a meal. And a binder (activated charcoal, or bentonite clay etc) before going to sleep. And I continue taking it even after the infections is gone, as a precautionary measure. The next remedies are abit more hardcore, so just giving you a headsup... 5. I cut onions and held the plate close to my face to draw out the infection. Tears are flowing and so is the white gunk. Then I took a detox bath with baking soda, epsom salt and added boiled ginger and clove tea. I put my head underwater and kept my eyes open. This relieved me of this itching sensation in my eyes and after the bath, the swelling was completely gone and my eye looked normal again (except for the bloodshot veins). However, ofc that effect is only temporary and I had to keep the regimen going for 2 more days to completely get rid of the infection. During that time I stayed home and didn't touch anyone, I also made sure to keep my face towel seperate from the others. This is how I mainly continued: 6. I applied medicinal koohl on my waterline. You need a high quality medicinal koohl, that is made from either burned cloves, white peppercorns, date pits, olive seeds or other natural ingredients. You do not want to buy the koohl for beautification that is made solely from the mineral stone. There are 2 types in Morocco; the medicinal one is usually sold in a small glass container with a red cap, whereas the one for beautification has a white cap. The koohl will sooth the itching sensation and bind the gunk. You'll have to keep cleaning your eye and switch btw koohl and moisterising with castor oil. Btw do not use the applicator, otherwise you would have to throw it away afterwards. Instead, take a small amount and apply it with a clean finger. There is 1 more remedy that I know of, but haven't personally tried: a potatoe poultice with freshly grated potatoe wrapped in a cotton towel and placed on the closed eye. Potatoe is astringend and draws out the infection. But I haven't tried that yet, so I cannot recommend it to you. The eye infection was gone after 3 days.
- 4 things u must know about using essential oils
1. In aromatherapy you should not mix more than 3 essential oils together. The general guideline is 2-5 oils, depending on the individual oils. Certain essential oils shouldn't be mixed together bcs of their medicinal properties. 2. When you experiment with essential oils, make sure you are in a well ventilated room and don't overdo it. A decade ago, when I started experimenting with essential oils, I didn't know how much of the essential oils enter your bloodstream simply through the vapor. I used very potent essential oils like eucaleuptus and rosemary and kept smelling the cosmetics until I accidently passed out... Plus, there is a thing such as essential oil poisoning when you overdose. This is important to be aware of, but nothing to be scared of, bcs if you use normal amounts as recommended in recipes, then that can't possibly happen to you. 3. Essential oils still behave like oils. Therefore, you must bind them with sth. Either a carrier oil or salt. Why is this important? For example, if you directly drop essential oils in your bathwater, it will swim on the surface and then directly touch your skin, which can actually burn you. That's why you always mix it with salt first. And, It is not enough to just drop it on salt and then add it to the water! That's how I burned myself before, and it is really painful with the hot bathwater. Instead, you want to add the salt to a container with a lid, e.g. a pickling glass. Then you add your ingredients and shake it really really well. 4. Citrus essential oils ( and oregano, eucalyptus, and star anise essential oils) dissolve plastic. Have you seen those videos, where moms use a drop of essential oil to burn open tight elastic hairbands from their daughters' hair? Yepp. But, why is this important? Bcs most organic detergants use citrus and pine essential oils, as they are less expensive. So if you wash your clothes with those, overtime all of your elastic bands will completely stretch out.... been there, done that π€§. In fact one brand was so bad, just one wash cycle was enough to completely destroy the elastic band of the cuffs from a dress. And my 95% cotton shirts that have 5% elastane in them also stretched out and had tiny white strings all over... I had to recycle them. So instead, you want to buy those organic detergants that are for sensitive skin, bcs they do not contain any essential oils. Or, if you do want to have a slightly fresh scent, then choose one with only lavender. In my experience lavender essential oil is no problem in that regard. I always use a mixture of 50% lavender detergent and 50% detergant without essential oils. To be more precise, I add 1 portion of the scent-free detergant in the compartment for the first washing cycle and I add 1 portion of the lavender detergant in the compartment for the 2nd washing cycle. That way the clothes have a very faint lavender smell and stay intact.
- Nourishing the body with real food - bone/ meat broth
While eliminating unhealthy foods is a good start to reverse or prevent inflammation, it is just as important to cook nourishing meals to support your body in healing. I am on a journey, trying to figure out my way around it. For example bone broth is a good staple in any traditional culture that has always been used as medicine to build back strength and energy. Ofc there are certain things to consider, for example if you struggle with histamin, then meat broth is better than bone broth, bcs the long cooking of the bones releases more histamin and could potentially trigger a person, same goes for ppl that have SIBO or a leaky gut. There are different opinions though. Alhamdulillah I am a big fan of bone broth and I find it gets most gelatenous with feet, whether chicken feet or a cow foot. In the picture is the latter, that's how clean it gets after I briefly soaked it in vinegar and washed it with salt water. Then I boil it, throw away the first water, than boil it again on high heat. Then I turn off the heat and add the veggies and let it simmer for hours. I prefer this method over the roasting method, bcs those crispy burned spots are carcinogenous and age your skin faster than water-based cooking. I am still undecisive whether to add all the seeds (pepper, juniper, fennel, milk thistle, fenugreek, cilantro seeds and also dried mushrooms) or to just keep it simple. It definitely affects the taste and I am the only one who isn't bothered by it, so I now just stick to simply: pepper corns fennel seeds bay leaf fresh turmeric fresh ginger What do you prefer? As for meat broth, I love to steam the meat and eat it seperately. I put cabbage, onions, carrots, cellery stick, apple etc. in a pot and then I only pour enough water, so that the meat can sit on top of the veggies and gets steamed. I like placing ginger slices on top of the meat bcs it removes this animal taste. After about 40min the meat is done and I take it out of the pot, as well as the ginger slices (those get thrown away). Then I add only the bones and fat back to the pot. Now I pour hot water all the way to the top. Letting it boil on low heat for 4h or more. I add the salt in the last hour, bcs apparently when adding it in the beginning, you saturate the water with minerals and then less minerals get extracted from the bones. I have 3 tips to share: 1. Avoid pre-cut veggies and buy the whole celleriac/ cellery /carrots etc instead. Then just cut it into cubes and freeze the excess. 2. Freeze the stock/broth, so that you always have it available. 3. Cook your rice with the broth to add nutrients to it. What are your go to methods to make food more nourishing? I am struggling the most with breakfast ideas.
- Let me introduce you to essential oils
I love essential oils so much, You can even make your own with a copper distill. After distilling the plant matter, you've gained hydrolate. For example many of us know rosewater or orange blossom water, those are hydrolates. Then you fill this hydrolate in brown glass bottles that have a very narrow bottle neck. You let it sit for several weeks until all the essential oil ascends to the top and then you can transfer it with a glass pipette. For 1l hydrolate you really only get a few pipettes or drops, depending on the plant and the quality/efficiency of extraction. Some plants contain more essential oil than others, for example for flowers like rose or jasmine essential oil, you need an astronomical amount of roses to get a flask, which makes it more expensive. Whereas others, like from the mint, citrus, grass or pine family, bear a higher concentration and hence you need less plant matter and can buy the essential oils for a comparatively lower price. As you can see, they are highly concentrated, so you have to know how to dosage each and the quality you buy matters alot. There are many fakes out there, and non-organic vs organic also has a huge impact on the properties and therefore also the scent. For example I have noticed it in types like lavender, eucalyptus and rose geranium. In fact, lavender essential oil is one of the highest adulterated oils on the market. They get diluted with the synthetic lavandin, which smells stronger, however misses the medicinal properties (!). There are thick musty essential oils like patchouli, where you only need the tiniest as the scent lingers very long. So perfect for parfume, oils and creams. Then there are light ones like lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, citronella etc that evaporate quickly and the scent doesn't linger for long, which makes them perfect for cleaning. Some of these citrus oils also help to remove stubborn oil-smears from surfaces like the kitchen vent. Other essential oils have a warming and blood pumping effect like rosemary, eucalyptus, cinnamon leaf, wintergreen etc and are perfect for bathing salts and massage oil. While others are cooling like mint. Essential oils are used as medicine, for example oregano oil is a natural antibiotic, you dilute 2-4 drops with a tbsp of pumpkin seed oil and swallow it with water. Paired with a binder like bentonite, zeolith, psyllium husk or charcoal for a certain timeframe like 3-6 weeks. It has helped me and my family alot. The thing with essential oils is that they enter your blood stream within seconds when in contact with your skin, that makes them so potent. In fact, they can even be meassured in a person's breath within a minute timespan of getting in contact with it. So you have to be careful around babies and animals. For example, never use eucalyptus essential oil around babies! It can give them a violent cough and breathing issues. Also never use citrus oils around cats, it can make them very sick. However, if you know the right ratio, essential oils are amazing and have so many benefits whether for health, cosmetic, and cleaning purposes or simply to set the mood. π«ΆπΏβ¨οΈ
- Natural flu remedies
Alhamdulillah I haven't been to the doctors office in years and always treat my colds naturally. A strong flu usually goes away after 2 days, if I have the luxury to sleep it away/ sweat it out. I'll add a random list of holistic remedies I know and I'd love to read yours in the comments. Place 1 tsp black seeds (nigella sativa) in the middle of a cotton towl and twist it tightly together. Then you want to rub the part with the seeds in your hand to created heat and inhale it in between. It will have a very strong and potent smell. In Morocco this method is traditionally used to treat a cold. Drink sage, thyme and rosemary tea. But be careful with the dosage, bcs those herbs along with oregano are very potent and high in essential oils. So observe your body's reaction. I usually can't drink more than 1 cup per day. Tea made from fresh ginger, turmeric, lemon slices, apple slices, cinnamon, pepper corns, jujubee dates (Sidr fruit) and lots of honey. Avoid ginger in the late afternoon and evening, though. Ginger foot baths Epsom salt and baking soda footbaths If you are fit enough, then warm epsom salt baths with baking soda or clay can also help draw out the infection. If that is too much strain on your body, then prioritise sleep and avoid any electronic pollution. Onion socks π«’ while sleeping. Just cut an onion ring and wrap it once in a thin cotton fabric and bind it to your foot sole with cotton gauze or wear tight fitting cotton socks. Raw egg socks for a fewer π« Always wear wool socks and a cotton scarf around your neck. Lymphatic massage, dry brushing, TCM Gua Sha (you can use a cooper coin to stroke from the center of your back to the sides until you have purple stripes on your skin) Infra red light on your chest and back or wherever it hurts. Iodine solution on neck, chest or feet Salt gargle. I recommend strong clove tea mixed with himalayan salt or sel gris for gargeling. Inhale/ steam your face, by boiling rosemary with chamomile and adding salt. Or you can mix 1/3 cup salt with one drop of eucalyptus essential oil and pour boiling water on top. Throw a cotton towel over your head to keep the steam trapped. If you need an expectorant and want to cough up mucus than add a potatoe to hot water and inhale that. There are many herbs you can use for steaming: basil, cloves, cinnamon, cypress, lavender, mint, thyme and sage. You can also use a small amount of either of these essential oils in a humidifier to increase air humidity in your bedroom. Keep letting in fresh air into your room and sip on warm tea. Alot of chicken soup and warming foods. Avoid milk products, sugar, wheat, seedoils and cold dishes (so no crunchy salads, only cooked) Support lymphatic drainage through massages and tapping, bcs the lymphatic system is a huge part of your immunesystem. This is all I can think of on the spot, but if I remember other things, I'll add them in, inshaaAllah.
- Homemade deodorant (that actually works)

Before it completely solidifies, pour the finished product into containers. Careful, it turns solid very quickly! Makes a little bit more than 2 containers of 30ml
- PMS Short-term Solutions
πͺ Avoid sitting especially the hunched forward position, it puts pressure on your womb. Instead gentle walking or laying down. π«Cocoa nibs support blood circulation and are high in Mg which relaxes the muscles. β‘οΈ if the cramps are very "crampy" Mg-VitB complex, pressed tablets for faster relief. π A warm bath or just foot bath with epsomsalt and essential oils ( Wintergreen, Rosemary, Lavender, Eucalyptus etc) is extremely effective in relaxing the muscles. π¨ Massage with anti-cramping oil under infrared-light therapy lamp. π Monch's Pepper pharmaceuticals for low progesterone signs (highly debated product, but in worse case they help me) π« Boiled ginger tea (fresh ginger, fresh turmeric, lemon slices, cloves, cinnamon bark, black peppercorns) for cramp relief. πͺ Salty crackers (I make sure my stomach is never too empty nor too full, or else my nausea takes over and then the vomiting starts). π§ββοΈ Stretching (it's not redundant, trust me it does help). π Sometimes the pelvicfloor muscles are tense or even clenched, actively trying to relax the body will help to relieve the tension. Bcs the intuitive fetus-position will make the pain worse. So try to lay on your back, pillow under your thighs and relax your pelvic floor muscles while doing deep breathing excercises. β‘οΈ When sleeping, use a salt pillow (e.g. a cotton sock filled with coarse salt) in the neck to draw out excess dampness and reduce pain. Also wearing wool socks while sleeping. π§π ββοΈ Avoid all sources of coldness, this means: - drinking exclusively warm water, eating warm foods (so no crunchy veggies/fruits, only cooked). - washing the body with warm water only, especially on the toilet (you can use an old thermos bottle to keep the water warm). - avoid washing your hair and if you can't do so, then immediately blow dry it and sit under a warming lamp. 𧦠Fenugreek poultice (mix the powder with water and apply this paste to the center of your feet, bind with cotton and wool socks on top and go to sleep) this helps to warm the womb and release the clots. π©Έ no tampon, no menstrual cup, no pepriod panty π ββοΈ β‘οΈ use 100% cotton pads and change them often. There are disposable ones at the organic store, they are not as expensive as you think. π Don't do any detoxes, the menses itself is a cleanse. Avoid psychological stress and prioritise rest and introspection. π΅ Replenish your minerals with herbal teas such as rasberry leaf tea, hibiscus, nettle, dandelion, sage, chamomile etc.
- Hushed facts about "balancing" our hormonal system
I believe the biggest factor in supporting your hormonal system is controlling your insulin levels. Bcs insulin is just like histamin; if there is an overload in your body, it starts to act inflammatory. It can dock on any hormone receptors in your body and disturb the function of other hormonal routes. I have learned alot about this aspect by listening to Benjamin Bikman's lectures on Youtube who is a leading researcher in the field. However, I will not recommend his other resources bcs I found out that he is a zionist who supports this brutal appartheid with his revenues. So buuh π But the bottomline is to leave a window of about 3-4h btw meals, where you don't eat or drink anything that triggers insulin release. Then, there are certain foods that trigger a higher secretion of insulin, such as starches and sugars. There is a weird researcher in the field by the name Jessie Inchauspe also known as the Glucose Goddess (a3udhubillah). She has some really good tips on how to reduce insulin spikes. Btw, if you want aππ³ sidequest: A chronic evelation of insulin can lead to insulin resistance, meaning your body is no longer sensitiv to insulin and doesn't react to it as it should. This insulin resistance is what causes diabetes type 2. So logically speaking, what should be the solution to treat diabetes type 2? Probably not injecting a hormone that is already not bioavailable for your system and causes inflammation all over..... Rather, you want to make your body sensitive to it again. One method to do so, is the one used by Barbara O'Neill in her health retreat center, which is to trigger the release of Glycogen (Glucose stored in the fat cells) by moving your body, instead of consuming Glucose during a blood sugar drop. I am gonna leave it at this... Moving your body is also highly beneficial to metabolise your stresshormone cortisol. Too much cortisol in your body also starts to act inflammatory. Did you know, excess cortisol, estrogen and toxins get stored in your bellyfat. That's hormonal bellyfat, and starts to behave like an organ, sending out hormones and distrupting your hormonal system. But, you can also overproduce cortisol when you excercise too much, too hard and put too much strain on your body. So there definitely needs to be a balance or rather we need to listen to what our body is communicating. Another factor is eating healthy fats. Our hormones are literally made from cholesterol. So don't be surprised if you have hormonal issues such as low testo in men or low progesterone in women, if you live on a low fat diet. Healthy fats include butter, ghee, raw milk, yoghurt, animal fat, nuts, olive oil etc. I can attest, eating healthy fats has been a gamechanger for me. Our last contestants are Xenoestrogens. They can dock on your hormone receptors and run havoc in your body. They enter your body through synthetic fragrances and fibres, plastic, pesticides, tap water, pharmaceuticals and so on. So you want to eliminate those as much as you can; from your clothes, tupperware, cosmetic products, parfume, detergent, cleaning products etc.. But also products such as gmo soybeans, you want to stay clear of, especially men bcs they increase your estrogens.
